TITLE Compliance Manager

CLASSIFICATION Full-time employment; exempt from overtime

REPORTS TO Director, Operations

SUMMARY The compliance manager leads internal compliance initiatives, manages vendor onboarding and monitoring, manages the contract life cycle, and ensures grant and regulatory compliance for the nonprofits that the firm supports. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work across multiple teams and jurisdictions.

Essential Duties

Monitors and tracks the firm’s compliance with regulations, policies, and client obligations, including preparing and submitting reports to federal/state agencies and grantmaking institutions

Develops, implements, and maintains internal compliance tools, templates, and policies aligned with best practices

Drafts, coordinates, tracks, and reviews client and vendor contracts, subcontracts, and agreements to ensure alignment with firm policies and compliance

Maintains accurate compliance documentation, including training logs, vendor records, and policy updates

Leads and collaborates across the firm to ensure compliance and risk management by implementing policies, managing procurement and contracting procedures, and delivering staff training

Manages compliance activities for nonprofit clients receiving services from PSC, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations, and organizational policies—particularly in financial reporting, grant compliance, tax-exempt status, governance practices, and funder restrictions

Tracks compliance deadlines and coordinates internal and external efforts to ensure timely and accurate submissions

Collaborates with leadership to assess compliance risks and implement appropriate controls

Leads internal compliance audits, including coordinating with external auditors during compliance reviews, maintaining accurate documentation of compliance activities, and implementing corrective actions in response to audit findings

Is occasionally available beyond regular work hours as necessary to respond to staff and firm needsQualifications

Associate’s degree in public administration, business, legal studies, or a related field; professional certifications such as certified regulatory compliance manager, certified compliance and ethics professional, or other relevant compliance certifications are preferred but not required

Minimum of five years of experience in compliance management, legal support, or contract administration; experience in a nonprofit or government environment is a plus

Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks, especially in public-sector or grant-funded contexts; knowledge of federal regulations related to nonprofit organizations, including federal procurement standards, the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund under the Inflation Reduction Act, Davis-Bacon and Related Acts, and the Build America, Buy America ActCompensation

Salary range of $79,080 - $118,617 commensurate with education and experience
