JOB SUMMARY
The SAP WMS (Warehouse Management System) functional Analyst is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the Enterprise Application Warehouse Management systems. This role involves understanding PIP warehouse operations and deploying streamlined and effective WMS solutions to enhance processes. Responsibilities include analyzing warehouse operations, configuring SAP WM solutions, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring seamless integration with other systems. The SAP WM Analyst acts as a liaison between the IT department, warehouse operations, and third-party vendors to deliver solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy in warehouse operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Engage with stakeholders and functional business users to gather, analyze, and validate SAP requirements. Interpret ambiguous business pain points and drive clarity in both the problem statement and business benefits of the improvement.
Collaborate with cross functional SAP teams and SAP ABAP developers to translate requirements to functional specs, to design, configure, and implement the SAP solutions to align with PIP's operational requirements and improve efficiency
Develop test plans and test the solution developed and configured, collaborate with cross functional technical teams to perform SIT (system integration test) and UAT (user acceptance test) with business super user teams. Assist functional areas with use case creation as needed to ensure quality testing.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SAP system and process issues, ensuring minimal disruption to supply chain and production activities.
Optimize by implementation of new procedures and features within the SAP WM module to enhance PIP's operational and warehouse capabilities.
Monitor system performance and implement necessary upgrades or patches to maintain optimal functionality
Collaborate with cross functional and business teams to ensure seamless integration, support and deliver comprehensive solutions that meet business objectives.
Train and engage with our SAP userbase to improve their proficiency in SAP utilization.
Develop and maintain documentation for business requirements, functional specifications, testing and training documents.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, following SAP best practices, project delivery methodology, maintaining technical documentation, and regulatory requirements if any. Monitoring systems post Go-live and gather feedback from business users to identify areas of improvement.
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Inventory, warehouse management, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a full cycle implementation as well as in support projects.
Proven experience as an SAP functional analyst with hands on SAP configuration and design experience in SAP Warehouse Management (WM), Logistics execution and integration with other modules like SD, MM, PP and FICO
Knowledge of SAP WM, Inventory management, Logistic execution, centralized and decentralized WM, cloud solutions, including interfaces, key integration points, and best practices.
Knowledge of Inbound, Outbound, Replenishment, and Physical Inventory WM processes, cross-docking process, process-oriented storage control, and layout-oriented storage control.
Experience with the configuration of the putaway and removal strategies.
Understanding of the RF Framework and the configuration process of the RF screens for different mobile devices.
Strong understanding of SAP configuration, ABAP development, testing and process optimization in SAP ECC 6 environment, with familiarity in SAP S/4HANA as a plus.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Hands on mapping, implementing, testing and troubleshooting the EDI/API interfaces
Familiarity with industry and SAP best practices, emerging trends in SAP technology
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively, with cross-functional teams
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to details and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
Experience with other ERP systems such as Epicor Eclipse is a plus
Having prior Mfg., 3PL and warehouse management experience is a plus
Warehouse Management, related Systems and understanding of 3PL operations
Distribution and warehousing experience
SAP Functional WM -EWM, Inventory management certification is a Plus.
