Description:
The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee daily operations in the York Manufacturing Warehouse. Department is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing products and raw materials while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company standards and safety regulations.
JOB SUMMARY
1. Supervise the York warehouse staff to ensure to all warehouse tasks are completed in a timely manner and to ensure adequate back-up coverage as required. Be fully trained and capable of performing all Warehouse job functions.
2. Utilizing the WMS functionality in the processing of production orders and replenishment activities for raw materials and packaging in support of the production operation. Warehouse Systems Trainer for WMS, Navision and UPS.
3. Communicate key work information to staff on a timely basis.
4. Manage and prioritize daily activities and process improvement projects.
5. Supervise the put-a-way of raw materials & packaging including incoming receipts and production materials.
6. Coordinate York Warehouse physical inventories and transfer of finished goods to the Dover Distribution Center.
7. Conduct regular cycle counts and research into inventory discrepancies providing corrective action as required.
8. Provide/review the layout of the York Warehouse to ensure that it adequately meets the needs of the York Facility. Manage off-site freezer inventory and slacking requirements.
9. Flexible with work schedule start/end times to facilitate daily work priorities and manage process improvements.
10. Supports people in other departments as needed (QC, R&D, Purchasing, Production, Sales and Planning).
11. Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout shift and at the end of the shift.
12. Follow and enforce with staff all company policies and procedures for safety, quality, and sanitation regarding personnel, maintenance and equipment, including food safety.
13. Assist with development of training programs for safety, sanitation, quality control, and maintenance.
14. Operate Electric forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed. Act as designated train the trainer for all Manufacturing and Warehouse staff.
15. May be required to work more than 40 hours per week periodically as business needs require.

1. 5+ years’ experience in distribution and warehouse environment with 3+ years supervisory experience.
2. Solid written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, listening skills and coaching/supporting skills, presentation skills
3. Must have MS Office experience, specifically MS Word and MS Excel
4. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, GMP and best practices in a warehouse environment.
5. Ability to motivate and build trust with others. Exhibits strong leadership behaviors such as; communication, teamwork, optimism, directness, compassion, empathy and setting a good example.
6. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and to stand for several hours at a time.
