Job Description:
Must have special interest in working with older adults and the aging population. Promote ongoing activities for residents that meet emotional, physical and spiritual needs.
Duties include:
Assist with an assessment of each resident according to their background, activity interests, abilities, physical limitations, and needs for meaningful activity programs
Conduct one to one activities and group activities as directed by supervisor.
Assist at special events as directed by supervisor.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be willing to learn CPR when classes are available.
Must be willing to attend dementia training classes as requested and as applicable to job position.
Aptitude and training in arts and crafts; knowledge of tools, paints and stains.
Ability to communicate via written and verbal word.
Desire and capability of working with small and large groups and with residents one-on-one.
Schedule:
Thurs, Fri, and Sat - some Sundays, holidays or occasional evenings required for special events or as needed
Requires Flexibility to occasionally coordinate/trade schedules with other Team Members that work Mon, Tues, and Wed
