The Role:
As a Dialysis Patient Care Technician (PCT) on the Herewith platform, you will support clients undergoing PD/HDD dialysis by providing essential non-medical, home-based and/or in-clinic care. This includes monitoring well-being, offering emotional support, assisting with daily routines, and helping ensure adherence to aftercare protocols, all in a personalized, one-on-one setting.
What You'll Do:
Offer post-dialysis support including hydration reminders, light meal preparation, and rest assistance
Help clients maintain safety at home (mobility support, fall prevention, medication reminders)
Provide emotional reassurance and companionship, especially post-treatment
Monitor for signs of fatigue, dizziness, or other dialysis-related symptoms and communicate concerns
Coordinate with family members or clinical teams as needed for follow-up care
Who You Are:
You have experience working with dialysis patients or have a background as a PCT, CNA, or Medical Assistant (non-certified applicants with relevant experience are encouraged to apply)
You understand the unique needs of individuals undergoing renal care and are passionate about improving their comfort and recovery
You are professional, dependable, and skilled in compassionate communication
You are comfortable using a mobile app to accept shifts, manage availability, and communicate with clients
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Dialysis Tech or Patient Care Technician
Understanding of renal diet limitations and post-treatment fatigue
CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
