About the Team

Join our communications team to learn the ins and outs of delivering impactful messages to a global audience. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience with content creation, media relations, and messaging strategies that drive IAAPA’s communications efforts. Your work will directly support IAAPA’s mission to inspire and connect attractions professionals around the world.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and creative intern who will assist in managing IAAPA's social media presence and engaging with our global community. This role will offer exposure to content creation, social media management, and community-building efforts. You’ll work closely with our social media and communications teams to build engagement, promote the Association, and drive positive brand sentiment.

Title: Social Media & Community Engagement Intern

Office/Department: IAAPA Headquarters, Orlando, Florida

Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Global Community Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with managing IAAPA's social media accounts (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) and content calendar.

Create and curate content for social media campaigns, including graphics, copy, and videos.

Proactively monitor mentions, comments, direct messages, etc., engaging with followers to foster community and conversation.

Monitor discussions within the IAAPA member community portal ensuring compliance with community guidelines.

Support in tracking social media performance and helping to report on metrics.

Collaborate with the global marketing team to align social media strategy with IAAPA’s overall messaging and objectives.

Qualifications:

Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field.

Knowledge of social media management tools such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite.

Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and engagement strategies.

Experience in graphic design/content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), CapCut or similar.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Enthusiastic, creative, and eager to learn about social media management in a global context.

Ability to work onsite in Orlando, FL.
