1. Will the Neurohospitalist be on stroke call for the ER

Yes, the Neurohospitalist will be on stroke call for the hospital including the ER. When at home, the Neurohospitalists manage things via telephone. The ER is fully comfortable giving tNK and activating angio team for acute strokes with just telephone discussion with Neurologist. We do have the APPs during the day that see the urgent stroke cases, and the APP in the evening sees all the in-house stroke alerts as well.

2. If yes, is the expectation for the Neurohospitalist to go back in the hospital at night to administer tPA or will making the call over the phone be sufficient?

No, expectation is for neurohospitalist to be available by telephone. Imaging can be reviewed via VizAI app

3. What is the response time to stroke?

ER typically wants a phone call response within 5 minutes, or they just call the neurohospitalist phone directly
