Space and Airborne Systems (SAS), Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) Center is seeking a talented Sr. Systems Engineer II to join the Secure Systems Department. This department provides a wide range System Security Engineering services and products to its customers. This position is within a technical growth area; we are looking for individuals willing to apply their systems engineering knowledge to the system security engineering or program protection disciplines of anti-tamper, cyber security, software assurance, supply chain exploitation, and threat and design vulnerability analysis.
The Sr. Systems Engineer II must be able to work independently and as a member of a team in coordination with engineers in development, integration, test and modeling. The Sr. Systems Engineer II will exhibit a high degree of creativity and ingenuity, and will be responsible for developing advanced systems /security integrity and information assurance leveraging guidelines and concepts. The Sr. Systems Engineer II must be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers, and may be required to brief senior and customer leadership teams.
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED AS SELECTED CANDIDATE WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE A US SECURITY CLEARANCE AS OF DAY ONE OF EMPLOYMENT
Requirements:
Minimum of 6 years of Systems Engineering or equivalent Engineering experience (physics, embedded software and/or hardware)
Familiarity with requirements development, analysis, derivations, verification and/or validation
Must be able to participate with multidisciplinary teams of system design professionals including electrical, mechanical, software and logistics engineers
ACTIVE Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain additional program-level special clearances
U.S. Citizen as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems
Preferred:
Experience with GPS and navigation techniques
Familiarity with Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Microsoft Project, requirements analysis tools (e.g., DOORS) and peer review products
Qualified Six Sigma Specialist
Active Top Secret security clearance
Existing SAP/SAR clearance
Familiarity with Program Protection, NIST/RMF process, Anti-tamper, Supply Chain and/or Risk Management Software Assurance
Education:
B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics; Advanced degree(s) preferred
