We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Logistics Specialist to join our team in Midland, Texas. This role is central to managing and optimizing inbound and outbound logistics operations—ensuring smooth coordination of shipments into and out of our facilities and alignment with internal departments and freight partners.

️ Please note: This position focuses on logistics before inventory arrives at the warehouse (inbound) and as inventory leaves the warehouse (outbound). It does not include managing inventory that is already on-hand within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Operations

Develop, refine, and implement efficient inbound and outbound logistics workflows.

Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Manufacturing, Finance, and IT teams.

Forecast shipping needs based on supply planning; proactively communicate with freight providers.

Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); ensure operational compliance.

Monitor logistics costs and performance metrics, identifying and resolving issues as needed.

Outbound Logistics

Package items per spec, generate packing slips, and schedule pickups.

For international shipments: manage documentation, schedule pickups, and handle customs clearance.

For domestic shipments: coordinate with transport vendors, negotiate rates, create labels, and ensure timely deliveries.

Maintain visual documentation before and after packaging.

Inbound Logistics

Review inbound shipment reports; share PO tracking and volume forecasts with internal teams.

Coordinate drop-off and dock schedules with carriers and warehouse staff.

Customer Service & Resolution

Address internal inquiries regarding deliveries and shipment tracking.

Troubleshoot logistics issues, discrepancies, or missing documentation promptly.

Data & Reporting

Use logistics data to track performance trends and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.

5+ years of experience in logistics or related operations.

Experience in a manufacturing or tech-driven environment preferred.

Strong negotiation skills and experience with third-party logistics partners.

Proficient in ERP systems and logistics tracking tools.

Knowledge of lean logistics and continuous improvement practices.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
