Compensation: $65,000–$70,000 ($30–$36/hr) + Relocation Package Available

Are you an expert in high-precision toolmaking with a passion for grinding excellence? Our client is a respected machine shop in the Winston-Salem area is hiring an experienced Toolmaker to join their team.

This position is ideal for military veterans with a strong mechanical background and a track record of precision work. You'll be part of a team that values craftsmanship, quality, and hands-on expertise.

Position Overview

In this role, you'll apply advanced grinding and toolmaking techniques to produce top-quality components that meet tight tolerances and superior surface finishes. You'll work with experienced professionals in a clean, organized environment where precision is the standard.

Key Responsibilities

Perform manual surface and cylindrical grinding to meet exacting specifications

Use micrometers, indicators, and comparators to ensure required tolerances

Troubleshoot and adjust tooling for optimal performance

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing

Qualifications

10+ years of toolmaking experience with a focus on precision grinding

Expertise in surface and cylindrical grinding techniques

Strong blueprint reading skills and understanding of GD&T

Mold making experience is a plus

Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills

Able to work independently and as part of a team
