Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cyber security Data Analyst to join our team in a remote position. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets to identify security threats, vulnerabilities, and patterns that could impact our organization's cybersecurity posture.

Collect, process, and analyze large volumes of security-related data from various sources

Develop and maintain data models to support cybersecurity initiatives and threat intelligence

Create comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to identify and investigate potential security incidents

Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses using data-driven approaches

Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and data analysis techniques

Develop and implement data-driven strategies to enhance the organization's security measures

Assist in the creation and maintenance of security metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)

Participate in incident response activities, providing data analysis support as needed

Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations and security standards

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field

3-5 years of experience in data analysis, with at least 2 years focused on cybersecurity

Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, and SQL

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity tools, frameworks, and network security protocols

Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create impactful reports

Solid understanding of machine learning and statistical analysis techniques

Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and their integration into security operations

Knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Excellent communication skills to present complex findings to diverse audiences

Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred

Experience with cloud security and big data technologies is a plus

Additional Information

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The salary for this position is anticipated to range between $69,000 – $105,000. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive experience. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. In addition to monetary compensation, we offer a competitive benefits package, including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, Company-matching 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Program, and Tuition Reimbursement, in addition to other programs and perks.
