Freestone Environmental Services, Inc., a multi-discipline environmental consulting firm based in Richland, Washington, is seeking a dedicated geologist to join our team and support environmental field investigations.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will engage in various project work at the Hanford Site near Richland, Washington. Responsibilities include:
Conducting hydrogeologic investigations
Overseeing drilling and well installation
Participating in multimedia sampling programs
Evaluating and interpreting environmental and geologic data
Providing CERCLA and RCRA regulatory support
Maintaining environmental databases
Preparing technical reports
This role emphasizes fieldwork combined with in-office data analysis and report preparation.
Required Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. in Geology/Hydrogeology
Motivated self-starter with attention to detail
Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
Willingness to relocate to the Richland, Washington area
Preferred Qualifications:
1-3 years of relevant project experience (consulting experience preferred)
1 year of field geology experience at the Hanford Site
40-hour HAZWOPER certification
Strong technical writing skills
