We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing and Coding Specialist. In this role, you will play a critical part in reviewing, verifying, and processing medical claims submitted by healthcare providers. Your expertise in coding and billing will help ensure accurate claim adjudication and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Review and validate medical claims for accuracy and completeness.
+ Apply appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to ensure proper claim classification.
+ Identify discrepancies, coding errors, or potential fraud and escalate as needed.
+ Collaborate with healthcare providers and internal teams to resolve claim issues.
+ Ensure compliance with insurance policies, payer guidelines, and federal regulations.
+ Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and reporting.
Qualifications:
+ Certification in Medical Billing and Coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent).
+ Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
+ Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and healthcare reimbursement.
+ Familiarity with claims processing systems and EHR platforms.
+ Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance claims.
+ Knowledge of claim adjudication processes and denial management.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
