Summary You will serve as a Department Deputy Business Manager in the Business Operations Division, White Sands Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, located in White Sands, NM.
Responsibilities You will serve as the W Department Deputy Business Manager and answer directly to the W Department Business Operations Manager (BOM). You will execute a complete spectrum of supervisory duties, encompassing work allocation, technical guidance, performance plan creation, performance assessment, compensation administration and employee development and training.
You will assess support assessment and forecasting of organizational administrative and budgetary needs for resourcing and implementation for a Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF). You will coordinate staffing needs and documentation with leadership and Human Resources, ensuring comprehensive and compliant submissions.
You will supervise various administrative functions such as program evaluation, timesheet authorization, purchasing, travel authorizations, and office/personnel/facilities relocation needs within the W Department.
You will collaborate closely with other supervisors and managers external to the unit to advance activity and agency initiatives.
You will be accountable for providing expertise to support Department operational and business management procedures and support services.
You will function as a trusted consultant to executive leadership, partnering with diverse stakeholders both within and external to NAVSEA, NSWC PHO to foster strategic alliances and attain shared objectives.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading teams to formulate and analyze organizational strategies (functional descriptions, workforce plans, future needs projections, organizational structures, etc.), in the execution of business operations for an organization.

The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14.
