We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager to oversee and guide all HR-related functions within our manufacturing company in Bryan, Ohio. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing employee relations, labor relations, benefits administration, compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will bring a strong generalist background, including union management experience, and a deep understanding of HR practices in the manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities:

• Foster strong relationships with union representatives and ensure adherence to collective bargaining agreements.

• Provide expert guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, performance issues, and workplace concerns.

• Oversee and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.

• Act as the primary liaison with benefits providers, assisting employees with benefits-related inquiries.

• Lead recruitment efforts by collaborating with hiring managers to attract and select top talent.

• Manage onboarding and orientation processes to support a seamless transition for new hires.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain accurate employee records.

• Develop and promote initiatives to enhance employee engagement, recognition, and morale.

• Act as a champion for company culture, reinforcing organizational values and best practices.

• Address and resolve sensitive workplace issues with professionalism and confidentiality.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification is a plus.

• A minimum of 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

• Proven experience with union contract administration and labor relations.

• Strong knowledge of benefits administration and employment law.

• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and handle sensitive matters with discretion.

• Familiarity with recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement strategies.

• Demonstrated ability to promote a positive and compliant work environment.
