Forklift Operator

The role of a forklift operator is responsible for the safe handling in the warehouse. This general warehouse assignment requires the candidate to perform duties such as truck loading, unloading, receiving, replenishing, counting inventory, and dock management. The Warehouse employee must understand all company policies and procedures. This position reports directly to the Shift Warehouse Mangers, Director of Operations, COO, VP's, Branch Managers and Ownership. This is a non-exempt position and is subject to overtime calculations.

Primary Objectives and Responsibilities:

These responsibilities and objectives include but are not limited to:

· Attendance Expectations- Work Schedule - must be flexible

· Neat and Clean Appearance

· Professionalism

· Communication

· Positive Attitude

· Perform warehouse duties, such as truck loading, order picking/building, inventory management, etc.

o Ability to perform WMS (Warehouse Management System) functions using technology (iPod / iPad handheld)

o Safe and Proper Operation of forklift and/or walkie-rider is required

§ Maintain all certification required to operate said equipment

· Ensure loads are built and loaded accurately in a timely manner

o Load and unload delivery trucks

o Proper stock rotation according to Anheuser Busch policy in the warehouse and on the delivery trucks

· Uphold appearance and sanitation of facility

· Safe and Careful handling of all inventory

· Prepare and sort damaged product for repack

· Preserve general maintenance of equipment

· Report any and all safety concerns immediately

· Continued education programs as required

o Encompass Training

o ABU Curriculum (on-line training)

o Safety compliance knowledge

o Product Knowledge (Styles, Categories, etc.)

o Solid Understanding of the total product portfolio (brands and packages)

Development of Forklift Operator:

A Forklift Operator with proper development can expect opportunities to move into roles such as Warehouse Manager. Additional opportunities may exist in movement to Sales, Merchandising, or Delivery.

Product Knowledge - Must understand the entire Portfolio

· Ability to communicate effectively with employees and customers in a professional manner.

Education and Experience

· Forklift Certification

· 3-5 years of experience with material delivery or distribution preferred.

· High School Diploma required or GED equivalent

· 2nd Shift (1pm until trucks completed and loaded)

· Monday-Thursday (4 Days)
