Job Title: Machinist
Hours8pm-6am- Sunday-Thursday Job Description
As a Machinist, you will set up and operate CNC machines and other equipment in the assigned cell. You will be responsible for transferring commands from servers to CNC modules via computer network links, as well as mounting, installing, aligning, and securing tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Responsibilities
Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules using computer network links.
Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences.
Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems.
Monitor control panel displays and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions.
Perform preventive maintenance and ensure proper usage of assigned machinery, tools, and component parts.Essential Skills
Experience with CNC operation, particularly lathe and mill machines.
Proficiency in using inspection gauges and manual machines.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Basic measuring, math, reading, and writing skills.
Understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Knowledge of SPC, mechanical aptitude, and computer literacy.
Ability to conduct tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
Problem-solving skills to identify complex issues and develop solutions.
High school diploma or GED required.Additional Skills & Qualifications
6 to 9 months of on-the-job training or related vocational training program required.
Demonstrated knowledge of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.Why Work Here
We also provide a shift differential for 3rd and 2nd shifts.
Work Environment
Work on the 3rd shift from Sunday to Thursday, 8pm to 6am, with potential overtime on Thursday and Friday nights. The environment includes regular exposure to noise levels at or above 85 decibels, requiring hearing protection. There is also exposure to dust particles, requiring a fresh-air helmet and medical clearance. You may be exposed to weather elements such as temperature changes and may be required to work in a booth surrounded by three walls.

This is a Permanent position based out of CHAMBERSBURG, Pennsylvania.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $49212.80 - $52000.00/yr.
TB Woods also does wage progression so with on the job training and gaining experience, candidates are eligible for raises.
$10,000 retention bonus being offered right now. This is NOT a long term thing, it is temporary. Pay outs are at 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year.
