The Financial Controller will be a strategic and operational leader responsible for revamping and professionalizing the company’s finance function across multiple legal entities. Reporting to the Acting CFO, this high-impact role will oversee core accounting operations, implement scalable systems, and guide the organization through financial transformation in preparation for potential M& A activity. This is an ideal opportunity for a experienced finance detail oriented who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-evolving environment and can bring order to complexity. Experience in consulting or SaaS environments—and comfort with manual accounting processes—is a must.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead all accounting operations including general ledger management, month-end close, and internal financial reporting across three entities (with more anticipated) Implement consistent processes and internal controls across the organization’s global financial infrastructure Drive budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning in collaboration with leadership Lead complex intercompany reconciliations and manage transfer pricing activities Oversee revenue recognition for subscription-based digital products and services Supervise and mentor entry level finance team members (1–2 direct reports) Support rollout and improvement of new accounting and payroll systems (launching mid-year) Partner with external tax consultants on U.S. and international tax compliance Manage foreign currency transactions, FX impact reporting, and UK-based transactions Prepare the company for acquisition readiness through process standardization and financial optimization Advise the executive team and Board with actionable financial analysis and strategic insights Contribute to advisory services billing, subscription tracking, and digital payment management (Stripe)Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Economics degrees will not be considered) CPA or MBA strongly preferred 10–12+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial leadership roles Expertise in SaaS revenue recognition, subscription models, and royalty/licensing fee structures Proven ability to operate in high-growth or turnaround environments Hands-on experience with accounting systems and strong Excel skills Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset Public accounting background and/or exposure to detail oriented services environments is a plus
