Job Title: Temporary Shipping & Receiving Associate – First Shift
Location: Fort Collins, CO
Pay: $18/hour
Schedule: Full-Time, First ShiftJob Summary:
A fast-paced logistics team in Fort Collins is seeking a Temporary Shipping & Receiving Associate to support shipping operations. This position focuses on both domestic and international shipments and requires strong attention to detail, computer proficiency, and the ability to work independently.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and package outgoing shipments to meet daily deadlines
Use strapping and shrink wrapping for freight protection
Generate shipping labels and documentation for FedEx, UPS, and DHL (domestic and international)
Schedule and prepare LTL and freight forwarder shipments (air, ground, ocean)
Monitor and resolve shipment exceptions and clearance delays
Maintain shipping supply inventory using the Kanban system
Communicate shipping updates and service delays companywide
Assist Receiving department with part put-away as needed
Provide freight quotes and support cross-departmental logisticsRequirements:
Prior shipping and receiving experience
Experience with FedEx, UPS, and DHL systems (domestic and international)
Basic computer skills: typing, email, navigation
ERP system experience (preferred)
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs comfortably
Detail-oriented with the ability to match part numbers accurately
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver’s license (no restrictions)
Dependable and punctualPreferred Qualifications:
Experience with FedEx Insight and UPS WorldShip
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Kanban processes
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Access
Knowledge of packaging techniques for international and LTL freightWork Environment:
Combination of computer work and physical activity
Frequent lifting, bending, walking, and standing
Use of data terminals and shipping software
Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
