The Security Officers position pays: range $28 - $29.50 an hour

Hours of work: Part-Time Available

Shifts: 6am to 2pm

Shifts Available: Saturday(s) and Sunday(s)

Job Description: Security Officers are expected to staff fixed posts as designated by our security clients’ needs. Officers will be assigned to fixed posts and will patrol the facility/campus on foot. Security Officers will be responsible to operate and maintain the client security systems. Security Officers are responsible to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, and or unauthorized persons on the grounds. Security Officers will also observe and report incidents or suspicious activity to client representatives, company management, life/safety personnel or public safety authorities as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required.

Job Responsibilities:

Security Officers must be able to make clear decisions within parameters of established

Exercise calmness of action during highly stressful situations

Maintain vigilance while monitoring security systems

Communicate and interact in a positive and professional manner

Must be able to respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents or conditions following procedures

Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities

As a Security Officer for Accomplished Security Inc., you will be responsible for securing and safeguarding our client’s employees and property. You are also required as an ASI Security Officer to know all site-specific policies and procedures, and implement emergency response activities for our client as appropriate. In addition, you are expected to provide our client with outstanding customer service

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Must have the ability to carry a concealed firearm in accordance with NJ State Regulations

Possess a valid NJ SORA and RPO license and be personally responsible to maintain their validity throughout your employment with ASI

At least 21 years old

Be currently certified in CPR, use of an AED and Basic First Aid and be personally responsible to maintain its validity throughout your employment with ASI.

As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws

Display exceptional customer service skills

Possess effective written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with the general public and all levels of the client’s personnel in a polite, professional and effective manner

Possess or have access to a reliable means of transportation to work

Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites. Ability to learn to operate the client’s security and safety systems which include but are not limited to access control systems, CCTV networks, and fire/security alarm systems.

Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports

Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently

Ability to multi-task

Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior

Able to:

Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat

Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds

Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift

Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
