Job Description

As a mechanic, you will be responsible for installing and assembling equipment on work trucks, including beds, plows, tool boxes, and more. This role involves reading blueprints/work diagrams to install hydraulic equipment and parts, performing testing and inspections on all installed components, and wiring as needed.

Responsibilities

Install and assemble equipment on work trucks (e.g., beds, plows, tool boxes)

Assemble tool boxes to the back of trucks

Bolt on truck boxes

Install mud flaps on trucks

Mount crane holders and ramp holders to trucks

Install tail lights

Read blueprints/work diagrams to install hydraulic equipment and parts

Perform testing and inspections on all installed components

Wiring as neededEssential Skills

At least 2 years of mechanical aptitude (e.g., auto mechanic, diesel mechanic, military mechanic, industrial mechanic, etc.)

Ability to read blueprints or work instructions

Proficiency in using hand, power, and air tools

Ownership of basic hand tools (sockets and socket sets, SAE socket sets, tape measure, ” drive impact drill)

Ability to lift 50 lbs

Work Environment

This is a 6-month contract-to-hire position with a day shift from 7 AM to 4 PM. The work environment resembles a mechanic bay, which can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. We have openings for both heavy-duty (more experienced) and light-duty (less experienced) assemblers.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
