We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations for a construction firm in the Westchester area. This role requires a strong background in construction, property management, and development accounting, along with exceptional leadership skills to manage a team. The ideal candidate will have construction and/or development experience.

Responsibilities:
• Manage financial reporting processes and deliver accurate reports to senior management.
• Establish and maintain banking relationships to support financing activities.
• Develop, implement, and oversee budgeting procedures to align with organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
• Lead and mentor a team
• Utilize Yardi software for property and construction accounting functions.
• Oversee month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support development and property management activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and drive operational efficiency.• Proven experience in construction, development, and property management accounting.
• Proficiency in Yardi software.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting and financial controls.
• Expertise in month-end close processes and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage banking relationships and financing activities.
• Leadership experience with a track record of managing and mentoring teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills to interact with senior management and cross-functional teams.
