We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Trade Compliance Manager to lead domestic and international trade compliance efforts. This role demands a strong understanding of customs regulations, trade compliance, and the ability to collaborate across various teams to ensure adherence to international trade laws. The ideal candidate will bring strategic insight, operational expertise, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance with global customs regulations and company trade policies.
• Collaborate with sourcing, legal, finance, and transportation teams to maintain adherence to all relevant trade rules and guidelines.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective measures to resolve compliance issues.
• Oversee the valuation process in coordination with finance and supply chain teams, including pricing adjustments and related financial matters.
• Manage global product classification and lead the execution of process changes to align with compliance standards.
• Serve as the primary liaison with government agencies for import and export control matters.
• Monitor and evaluate customs broker activities to ensure compliance with import and export requirements.
• Build and sustain partnerships with customs brokerage firms, government entities, and trade compliance service providers worldwide.
• Administer and manage Free Trade Agreements, duty drawback programs, and tariff mitigation strategies.
• Integrate acquisitions into the existing trade compliance framework and ensure seamless transitions
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Customs Broker license is preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in customs brokerage and regulatory compliance, including importer responsibilities.
• Minimum of 5 years in a management role overseeing trade compliance programs.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, CFRs, and international trade compliance standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of creating detailed reports and metrics.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions.
