Storm Water Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Stormwater Technician for a construction company in Escondido, CA. Pay: $19-$25/hr DOE.

Performs manual labor for the inspection, maintenance and repairs of channels, outfalls, culverts, and stormwater facilities. Tasks involve assisting with hydro-jetting operations, CCTV operations, vacuum cleaning operations, use of safety equipment, hand tools and light motorized equipment. The Stormwater Technician is under the direct supervision of the Stormwater Superintendent and will sometimes report to Crew Lead, Operator, Foreman, and Project Manager (PM). They may also request specific needs from the Equipment and Inventory Coordinator (EIC) for equipment or tools. They are responsible for following onsite safety protocols in accordance with the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and any jobsite specific safety documents as identified by the PM.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED, required

• Some relevant experience in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of underground utilities related to primarily, but not limited to sanitary sewer, storm drain and water line conveyance systems (Stormwater Technician I)

• Minimum of 1 year as a Stormwater Technician I or relevant experience in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of underground utilities related to primarily, but not limited to sanitary sewer, storm drain and water line conveyance systems (Stormwater Technician II)

• Minimum of 2 years as a Stormwater Technician II or relevant experience in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of underground utilities related to primarily, but not limited to sanitary sewer, storm drain and water line conveyance systems (Stormwater Technician III)

• Must have completed all training for Stormwater Technician I and received sign off from Stormwater Superintendent (Stormwater Technician II)

• Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of machines and tools for uses, repair, maintenance
