Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing consulting firm is looking for an experienced Senior Consultant to join our team in the Horsham, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services to clients, including entrepreneurs and closely-held business owners. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to client success, guide entry-level staff, and support the growth of the practice.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the preparation, compilation, and review of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Provide advisory services on entity setup, restructuring, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Develop a deep understanding of client operations to offer practical and tailored financial solutions.
• Guide and coach entry-level staff members to enhance their growth and skill development.
• Identify opportunities for service improvements and assist in expanding the firm's client portfolio.
• Collaborate with teams to support business transitions, mergers, and acquisitions when necessary.
• Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts, including balance sheets, bank accounts, and general ledgers.
• Manage month-end close processes and oversee journal entries to maintain financial accuracy.
• Prepare complex tax returns, including estate and gift taxes, for high-net-worth individuals.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• CPA certification or significant progress toward obtaining it is highly desirable.
• 3+ years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on private or closely-held businesses.
• Strong knowledge of tax, specifically tax planning for privately held companies and HNW individuals and families and U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and business transitions is a plus.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and accounting software such as ProSystem fx Engagement.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with the entire Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple projects effectively.
