IT Manager - Systems & NW Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to oversee and enhance the technical infrastructure of our organization in Independence, Missouri. This role offers the opportunity to manage and improve on-premise and cloud-based systems, while contributing to strategic technology planning and decision-making. As a key contributor, you will ensure seamless IT operations across networks, systems, security, and user support.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize both on-premise and cloud-based IT systems, ensuring reliability and efficiency.

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues across hardware, software, and network environments.

• Administer business-critical applications, including QuickBooks and other specialized software.

• Implement and maintain robust security protocols to safeguard data and systems.

• Oversee regular data backups and ensure compliance with industry security standards.

• Provide hands-on support for desktop systems and assist users with technical challenges.

• Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute strategic IT roadmaps.

• Monitor and manage network performance, including configuration and maintenance.

• Research and recommend technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

• Ensure proper functioning of telecom systems and related tools.• Proven hands-on experience in systems administration, network engineering, and desktop support.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and assist non-technical users effectively.

• Solid understanding of firewall management, endpoint protection, and cloud security tools.

• Familiarity with backup technologies and configuration management.

• Knowledge of Active Directory and computer hardware troubleshooting.

• Experience with security administration and ensuring compliance with IT standards.

• IT experience in services requiring attention to detail is preferred.

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+ are a plus.
