Senior Scheduler Compensation

The pay for this position is $21.50/hr.

Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment.

A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

Senior Scheduler Highlights

· Hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

· This position is a contract assignment to start and we are looking to make this position a permanent hire.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Scheduler to join our home healthcare team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless coordination of home health aide services for our clients. The Senior Scheduler will serve as the lead coordinator for complex cases and act as a mentor for new Administrative Service Coordinators. Strong communication and scheduling skills are essential for this position.

Senior Scheduler Key Responsibilities

· Serve as the first point of contact for individuals, agencies, and institutions inquiring about agency services.

· Coordinate placement and schedules of home health aides for assigned caseloads.

· Obtain and maintain updated client information, including health insurance status and service history, in the EMR system.

· Communicate agency services and policies to clients and referral sources.

· Refer inquiries outside agency scope to appropriate community resources.

· Notify billing and case management teams of schedule and status changes.

· Document aide performance, track call-outs and tardiness, and recommend disciplinary actions when necessary.

· Train and mentor new Administrative Service Coordinators on scheduling and EMR procedures.

· Coordinate with case managers and clinical team to respond to client service needs.

· Participate in performance improvement initiatives and planning activities.

· Ensure thorough handoff communication to and from on-call staff.

Senior Scheduler Requirements:

· Minimum of 1 year experience in home care, particularly in scheduling or a related administrative role

· Strong customer service background

· Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills

· Exceptional organizational and computer proficiency

· Ability to multitask and operate multiple software systems simultaneously

· Professional and courteous phone demeanor

· Associates Degree

Preferred Qualifications

EPIC EHR experience

Familiarity with insurance payor systems

Understanding of ICD-10 and medical terminology
