Part-Time Administrative Accounting Assistant - Temp 2 days/week - Novato - $27-$30/hour
A well-established nonprofit providing vital services throughout the North Bay is seeking a Part-Time Administrative Accounting Assistant to support the Finance Department with a mix of clerical, data entry, and financial tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills—and a background in accounting—to join a mission-driven organization and gain exposure to nonprofit finance operations.
Duration: ASAP through end of June
Location: Onsite in Novato
Schedule: Two days/week (ideally Tues & Wed), 8:30-5pm
Background Check: Clear criminal background check required
Pay: $27 to $30/hour depending on experience
Part-Time Accounting Assistant Responsibilities:
Perform data entry into Excel, scanning, filing, and document organization
Follow up on emails and general finance-related administrative tasks
Support the Senior Finance Lead with day-to-day operations
Assist with accounts payable using SAGE software
Part-Time Accounting Assistant Qualifications:
Entry-level accounting or finance experience preferred
Proficiency in Excel (basic formulas) & Word required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
