Job Description
The Mechanical Project Manager ensures the infrastructure systems comply with State Building Codes and regulations.
Responsible for overseeing project engineering, design, and construction
Responsible for overseeing capital improvement projects, reviews design plans, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules
Responsible for analyzing, confirming and project scope, budgets and schedules
Maximize staff output by coordinating available personnel with current workload
Supervise development and maintenance of various databases, architectural standards and specification.
Synthesize interdependent elements, develop strategies, recommend alternatives, and implement action plans for routine and unanticipated projects and studies
Demonstrated knowledge of building design process, mechanical/electrical systems, construction methods and materials
Set departmental goals and define organizational structure, provide overall supervision of assigned staff; review and evaluate personnel performance
Develop, recommend and implement departmental operating policies, systems and procedures
EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
7-10 years of experience on mechanical projects*/5-7 years commercial HVAC mechanical trade* / 3-5 years of supervisory experience on mechanical projects
Working knowledge of building codes and environmental and safety regulations
Expedite RFI/COR, and field reports in accordance with contract specifications
Excellent communication skills to interact with staff at all levels
REQUIREMENTS:
Reside in Southern Nevada - Las Vegas, Henderson or North Las Vegas preferred - not a remote position
Have or obtain Nevada construction OSHA 30
Software knowledge and experience in Bluebeam, Procore, or other project management + budgeting software.
Microsoft Office - excel, word, email and text phone chat groups a must
Conduct in-person project roll out presentations, attend weekly meetings with company ownership
Candidate must be a team player, take direction well, and support other team players growth in trade knowledge
Schedule: M-F 6 am to 4PM / salary position
Clean driving record
Ability to lift 50lbs.
