Press Brake Operator

Job Description

Since 1994, G & S Manufacturing., LLC has been welding and fabricating industrial metal structures and parts for industries throughout the United States! Some of the industries that we serve include mining, coal, agriculture, health, and dust collection.

As a press brake operator, you will responsible for accurately programming and operating the press brake according to print using various metals, steel, stainless, etc. to obtain the desired results. This position will require someone who is a self-starter and able to work without direct supervision in a team environment. This is a full-time position, working four 10-hour days. This is a safety sensitive position.

Primary Responsibilities

Setup the machine and determine the tooling to be used.

Accuracy- Verifying accuracy of piece to print specifications, using fixed gauges, calipers, and micrometers to reduce nonconforming parts.

Machine observation- while in production to avoid damage to machine, tooling or parts.

Print reading- Be able to input parameters from blueprints into machine.

Loading and unloading the machine using forklifts and/or cranes.

May perform minor assembly, such as fastening parts with nuts, bolts, and screws, using power tools and hand tools.

Follow safe work practices and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Additional Responsibilities

1. Comply with Health and Safety Standards

2. Loading and Unloading Trucks as needed

3. Willing to work in other departments and overtime as necessary to assist in meeting production deadlines.

4. Other duties as assigned.

We seek an individual with post-secondary education or experience in press brake operations. Must be able to read a tape measure, read and interpret blueprints, and job instructions. This position does require being on your feet most of the day, standing, bending and some crawling. You must be able to lift 50 pounds comfortably, wear a respirator when needed, pass a physical exam and a drug test. Candidates will be able to work independently and can manage your day efficiently.

Wage is based off experience.
