Quality Control Inspector

Job Description

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our client's manufacturing team in Johnson County! In this essential role, you'll perform in-process and final inspections of production components to ensure they meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform precise dimensional inspections using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and Go/No Go gauges

Conduct visual and measurement checks during receiving, in-process, and final inspection stages

Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and GD&T features to verify tolerances and part accuracy

Document inspection findings in detailed reports and quality logs

Identify and report non-conformances, collaborating with production teams on resolutions

Maintain calibration and proper care of all inspection tools and equipment

Support quality improvement efforts, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions

Follow all internal and customer-specific quality standards and procedures

Qualifications & Experience:

High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree in a related field preferred

2+ years of experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing or production environment

Skills & Knowledge:

Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T

Solid understanding of dimensional tolerances and manufacturing processes

Skilled in using a range of precision inspection tools and measurement techniques

Strong documentation skills and attention to detail

Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, etc.)

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs. as needed

Visual acuity to perform detailed inspections with accuracy
