Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic
The heating, refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic must possess Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and air conditioning knowledge and a minimum of five years of experience in basic facilities engineering work, including hands-on experience in controls, HVAC equipment operation, primary and secondary electrical distribution systems, refrigeration and chilled water/heating water systems, plumbing and electrical work, and shall possess appropriate Federal, State, or local licensed and certifications as necessary to perform services under this TO. The heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning mechanic must possess qualifications equivalent to three years as a journeyman air-conditioning mechanic and is expected to be a full-time on-site employee. He/she must have completed a recognized air-conditioning apprenticeship program, have working knowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatic test equipment, charging sets, and other mechanical equipment pertinent to the trade. He/she must possess Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)/chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification/license.
