Job Description
A Nursing Home Admissions Director oversees the entire admissions process, from initial inquiry to resident orientation. This role involves developing and implementing admissions strategies, building relationships with referral sources, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience for new residents and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Admissions Process Management:
Oversee the entire admissions process, including pre-admission assessments, documentation review, and financial arrangements.
Relationship Building:
Develop and maintain professional relationships with hospitals, discharge planners, physicians, senior living communities, and other referral sources.
Inquiry Handling:
Respond to inquiries from hospitals, families, and other referral sources, scheduling tours and providing facility information.
Tour and Presentation:
Conduct facility tours and presentations to prospective residents and their families.
Paperwork and Documentation:
Compile and manage admission paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Resident Orientation:
Complete resident orientation checklists to ensure residents are aware of opportunities available in the facility and community.
Marketing and Sales:
Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase facility awareness and drive admissions.
Compliance:
Maintain a working knowledge of Federal and state regulations and reimbursement policies.
Reporting and Data Analysis:
Track admissions, discharges, and inquiries, and generate reports as needed.
Collaboration:
Partner with the Administrator, Director of Nursing Services, and other staff to ensure a smooth and efficient admissions process.
