Position: EHS Program Coordinator
Location: Mountain View & Sunnyvale, CA
Summary:
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing various activities in support of environmental health and safety initiatives. This role ensures compliance with regulations and promotes a safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
Support EHS programs and policies related to emergency response, fire prevention, and operational readiness.
Oversee the EHS framework deployment within the Bay Area region.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate local EHS initiatives, guidelines, programs, and training.
Assist in delivering emergency response programs, including drills, planning, equipment setup, and air quality monitoring.
Conduct hazard assessments and provide mitigation guidance.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (OSHA, CalOSHA, EPA, etc.) and company EHS policies.
Manage reports and findings to monitor performance and identify health and safety trends.
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, safety science, occupational health and safety, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of proven experience in leading and managing teams.
Solid understanding of environmental, health, and safety management practices, principles, and procedures.
Excellent organizational, communication, research, and analytical skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills.
Preferred qualifications:
Strong experience and knowledge of related governing agency requirements (i.e., OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and DOT).
Experience in safety management, safety engineering, industrial hygiene, environmental science, occupational health, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
