Job Description:

· As a Plumbing Estimator at Seaway Plumbing, you will be responsible for assessing the costs associated with plumbing systems in commercial and high-end residential construction projects. You will work closely with our project management and sales teams to ensure accurate and competitive bids, contributing to our growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

· Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for plumbing systems in commercial and high-end residential construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors.

· Blueprint Analysis: Review project blueprints, specifications, and related documents to understand the scope of work and identify potential challenges or opportunities for cost optimization.

· Vendor and Subcontractor Relations: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and other industry professionals to secure competitive quotes for materials and labor.

· Cost Analysis: Analyze and evaluate quotations received, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with project requirements.

· Value Engineering: Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to propose cost-effective alternatives and value engineering solutions while maintaining quality standards.

· Documentation: Prepare comprehensive and organized bid packages, proposals, and reports, and assist in contract negotiations.

· Bid Presentation: Present estimates and proposals to clients and project stakeholders, addressing questions and concerns as necessary.

· Project Support: Provide ongoing support to project teams, assisting with budget tracking, change order evaluation, and project cost control.

· Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, pricing, and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.

· Proven experience as a plumbing estimator in commercial and high-end residential construction.

· Strong understanding of plumbing systems, codes, and regulations.

· Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.

· Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
