Billing Support Manager

The Billing Support Manager supports the Revenue Cycle Manager in overseeing daily operations of the billing department. This position plays a key role in optimizing revenue cycle processes and maintaining compliance with industry regulations and payer requirements.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the billing department.

Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback.

Oversee insurance follow-up and denial management processes.

Provide oversight to the patient refund process.

Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing issues.

Support implementation of new billing policies, software, or regulatory changes.

Assist with audits and maintain documentation for compliance purposes.

Monitor claim submission workflows to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

A successful candidate will have the following qualities:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and leadership abilities

High attention to detail and organizational skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and billing systems

Experience in vision billing preferred

Knowledge of credentialing processes and payer enrollment (CAQH, PECOS, NPPES) preferred

Knowledge of payor portals (Avality, etc.)

Qualifications:

Minimum of three to five years of medical billing experience required, with at least one to two years in a lead or supervisory role. Must have familiarity with CMS guidelines, payer rules, HIPAA, and healthcare billing software (e.g., EHR/PM systems).

This position will report to the regional billing office in Louisville, KY and be regularly scheduled to work full-time Monday-Friday.
