Maintenance Apprentice Full-time (Nimitz Oahu)

We are looking for a full-time Maintenance Apprentice position to repair commercial buildings. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, have basic knowledge of hand tools, and willingness to learn. Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crawl, climb, bend for extended periods of time. Be able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum of 30lbs up to 50lbs up several stairs, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs

Light experience with painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical and grounds maintenance.

Good customer service skills to interact with property managers, vendors, customers, etc.

Able to lift, push, pull a minimum of 30lbs up to 50lbs, be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, walk up/down stairs and climb a ladder.

Ensure mechanical equipment and systems are working in order and fixed as necessary.

Perform any additional maintenance related duties as required by supervisor

Create purchase order

Working alongside with the Maintenance team to meet and exceed customer needs

On the job training towards Maintenance Technician position

Skills/Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English

Good communication skills

Able to read, write and respond to text messages

Customer service oriented

Keep accurate records of time cards, checkout forms, and any job related paperwork.

Willingness to learn and improve

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm, subjective to emergencies, on-call on weekends and holidays.

Compensation: $18/per hour
