Knowledge Services is actively seeking a Website Content Migration Specialist for a 12-month contract (potential to extend) with the NCAA in Indianapolis, IN.

This is a hybrid work schedule working Monday - Friday from 9-5pm

This role will work about between 20-40 hours per week (flexible)

Responsibilities

Website Content Migration Specialist Responsibilities:

• The NCAA is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Website Content Migration Contractor to support the transition of content from our current website to the new ncaa.org.

• This role will be instrumental in reviewing, consolidating, editing, and organizing content to ensure it is streamlined, SEO-friendly, and aligned with the needs of our audiences and stakeholders.• This contractor will work closely with our digital and web teams to help prepare high-quality content for a seamless migration and stronger user experience on the new platform.

• Content Consolidation – Merge fractured or redundant content into clear, authoritative sources.• Content Editing & Development – Rewrite or adjust content for clarity, consistency, tone, and SEO, ensuring alignment with NCAA messaging and voice.• Content Auditing – Evaluate current content for accuracy, duplication, and relevance.• Content Organization & Migration Prep – Structure and tag content appropriately for the new CMS and IA.• Content Archiving & Reduction – Identify legacy or unnecessary content for retirement or long-term storage.

Qualifications

Website Content Migration Specialist Requirements:

• Must have at least 2–3+ years of experience in web content management, digital strategy, or website migrations• Experience with content migration projects and CMS transitions is a plus• Working knowledge of SEO best practices and content authority principles• Experience with taxonomy, tagging, and organizing content for web• Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, etc.)• Strong editing and writing skills, ideally with experience in sports, higher ed, or nonprofit sectors• Ability to self-manage and communicate effectively across teams

Preferred Content Experience• College Sport Experience, Law Policy experience, or Marketing Background• Understanding how to create SEO

• CMS Proficiency – Especially SIDEARM, Drupal, WordPress, or Sitecore• Basic HTML/Web Editing – Not a requirement, but helpful• Project Management Tools – Comfort with tools like Asana or Trello for tracking and workflow• Extreme Attention to Detail – Especially in formatting, internal links, and content structure
