Associate Field Automation Engineer

Santa Monica, CA

Responsible for Preventive Maintenance (PM’s) and minor repairs on all Tecan products.

Responsibilities:

Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on Tecan instruments.

Participation in the sharing of information obtained from unique problems or training

Ability and willingness to maintain a travel schedule and to travel on short notice.

Specialized to the Field Service Team and the Tecan organization if appropriate.

Performs record keeping of service calls according to company policy.

Maintains appropriate parts inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.

Provides back-up service support outside of assigned territory as needed.

Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, and reviewing technical publications.

Handles essential tasks as assigned and responds to change productively.

Follows all local safety procedures, State and Federal OSHA Regulations, and reports any safety concerns.

Proven team player

Experience

BS degree in Life Science or Computer Science desired

Electro/mechanical experience a plus

Well-developed PC skill level, including MS Windows and Office Suite.

Must be located within the west Los Angeles area.

Salary range is $93,000 - 103,000 DOE
