Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Aliso Viejo, CA 92656 (Hybrid)
Duration: 09 Months Contract + High Possibility of Extension
Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday - Friday)
Job Description:
Analyses, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs.
Code may be used in commercial or end-user applications, such as materials management, financial management, HRIS, mobile apps or desktop applications products.
Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications.
Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
Knowledge:
Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
Some barriers to entry exist at this level (e.g., dept/peer review).
Level at which career may plateau.
Complexity:
Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
Supervision:
Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead).
Experience:
Typically requires 7+ years of related experience.
Required Skills:
Expertise in Ubuntu systems administration, RKE2 (Rancher Kubernetes Engine), and Docker.
Experience with Ansible for automation and provisioning, as well as Debian packaging or containerization of applications, is essential.
Requires proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, creating and improving tooling for Provisioning 2.0.
Familiarity with the Production Readiness Framework and the ability to implement Canary and A/B testing methodologies.
Setting up monitoring, alerting, and eventing systems for production environments.
