Title: Senior Architect Project Lead
Location: Anaheim, CA (Onsite)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm
Duration: Ongoing, with potential to convert to a full-time role based on performance and business need

As part of the Architecture & Facilities Engineering (A&FE) group, the Staff Architect will help bring ideas to life across a premier entertainment resort, from iconic attractions and hotels to support and maintenance facilities. This role offers the opportunity to guide projects from concept through construction, blending technical expertise, design management, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure world-class outcomes.
Responsibilities
Owner’s Representative Duties
Review project concepts with internal stakeholders and determine project team needs
Develop project scopes of work and manage RFPs for external architects, engineers, and consultants
Collaborate with Facility Assessment Management (FAM) partners to review scope, schedule, and budgets
Provide internal cost estimates and support ongoing budget reviews
Oversee design development and construction documentation in coordination with internal/external partners
Lead design reviews and ensure adherence to codes, standards, and project requirements
Maintain and enforce internal design guidelines, specifications, and quality standards
Ensure cohesive integration of architecture with infrastructure, grading, MEP, lighting, signage, and more
Keep stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle, from design to construction
Interface with city officials and regulatory bodies to support permitting and compliance
Coordinate RFIs, submittals, constructability reviews, and punch walk feedback
Support documentation and project closeout activities
Architectural Duties
Lead design efforts from concept through construction documentation
Develop scopes of work for internal architectural and engineering teams
Create code-compliant designs, including life safety plans and custom detailing
Oversee internal coordination across disciplines (MEP, structural, civil, etc.)
Conduct site observations and provide construction administration support
Manage responses to city plan checks, RFIs, and contractor submittals
Ensure all architectural deliverables align with project goals, feasibility, and operational needs
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program
Minimum of 13 years of professional architectural experience
Licensed Architect in the State of California (required)
Extensive knowledge of California Building Code, ADA, health codes, and CalOSHA regulations
Demonstrated experience preparing architectural drawings, specs, and code analysis summaries
Experience across a broad range of project types including hospitality, entertainment, mixed-use, and support facilities
Skilled in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels
Construction administration experience including RFIs, submittals, and site observations
Preferred
Master Planning experience
CASp Certification
Experience in waterproofing, egress strategy, or retail/commercial projects
