We are working with an established food manufacturer based in Dallas, TX. They are recruiting for a SQF Auditor to join their team on Day Shift in return for pay in the range of $65 - 75k base salary along with excellent employment benefits which include Healthcare, Vision and Dental insurance, PTO and 401k match.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting Audits: Perform thorough audits of the bakery's processes, systems, and facilities to ensure full compliance with SQF standards and relevant regulations.
Reviewing Documentation: Examine and verify the accuracy of policies, procedures, and records to confirm adherence to established food safety and quality management systems.
Identifying Non-Conformities: Identify areas of non-compliance with SQF requirements, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings to relevant teams.
Evaluating HACCP Plans: Assess the bakery’s Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) program to ensure its effectiveness and compliance with industry standards.
Monitoring Hygiene Practices: Inspect and evaluate sanitation practices, facility cleanliness, and employee hygiene standards to ensure a safe production environment.
Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to staff on SQF compliance, food safety principles, and best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Verifying Corrective Actions: Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions to address audit findings and ensure their effectiveness in resolving issues.
Maintaining Current Knowledge: Stay informed about changes to SQF standards, food safety regulations, and emerging industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance.
Collaborating with Teams: Work closely with quality assurance, production, and management teams to address compliance issues and support food safety initiatives.
Preparing Audit Reports: Compile comprehensive and accurate audit reports that summarize findings, corrective actions, and overall compliance status.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field is preferred, otherwise must have extensive food safety and SQF experience to be considered
Certification as an SQF Practitioner or similar qualification.
Proven experience in food safety auditing, preferably in an industrial bakery or food manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of SQF standards, HACCP principles, and food safety regulations.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve compliance and quality goals.
Proficiency in using auditing tools and software.
