Senior IT Project Manager – Data Center & Network Deployment
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex technology infrastructure projects with a focus on data center and network deployments. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, has a passion for cutting-edge networking technologies, and can drive mission-critical projects from conception through completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data center and network infrastructure projects.
Oversee deployments and operations of Layer 2/Layer 3 networks including DWDM, load balancers, and content delivery networks.
Coordinate and manage physical fiber plant installations (OSP/ISP).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business objectives.
Utilize multiple project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, etc.) to effectively deliver results.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Manage risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate status updates to leadership.
Maintain a deep understanding of AWS network architecture and apply this knowledge to support deployments.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant IT discipline.
5+ years of hands-on project management experience in IT infrastructure.
5+ years of experience in data center and/or network deployment.
5+ years of experience operating and deploying Layer 2/Layer 3 networks, including DWDM, load balancers, and CDNs.
5+ years of experience with physical fiber plant (OSP/ISP) deployments.
Proven track record of managing complex, high-impact infrastructure projects.
Proficiency with multiple project management methodologies.
Familiarity with AWS network architecture and services.
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus, but not required.
Strong multitasking, prioritization, and stakeholder communication skills.
