This Product Owner position is part of the CSC Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Function reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis. The role is a product ownership role support CSC’s Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platform. This position will work closely with stakeholders and leadership across CSC’s financial landscape, including corporate finance, business partners, financial technology, and other functions outside the scope of global Finance. The key activities of this role include developing and executing the Oracle EPM capability roadmap, requirements capture and management, process improvement & change management, and establishing the position as the overall steward of CSC’s Oracle EPM platform.
Some of the things you will be doing:
Ensure coordination, communication and changes are managed among various operational Finance groups including Corporate, Shared Services & Business Unit and Financial Technology
Fundamentally understand how the system works and the relationship between the various components
Perform impact analysis based on business requirements
Understand and manage the flow of data into and out of the application
Establish and document business rules within the EPM platform applications as required
Manage base values & associated hierarchies and collaborate with Technology to process change as identified by operational finance
Coordinate the data validation and COA (Chart of Account) mapping processes between Corporate and Business Unit source systems
Develop and maintain a coordinate and unified capability roadmap
Facilitate and capture requirements gathering workshops and conversations as required
Explore, design and implement process improvements and associated documentation
Support end-user training for the Oracle EPM platform and applications
Develop and manage relevant workflows within the enterprise data management application
Provide in-depth support related to reporting through the application(s) including SmartView and Web Reporting Studio
Support Data Governance requirements
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance or Information Systems; MBA a plus
7+ years of experience supporting financial application management with emphasis on HFM/Hyperion and/or Oracle Cloud EPM Platform & application management.
Experience in Financial systems application development, implementation and management
Ability to develop new application components such as business rules, data forms and reports
Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel (VBA preferred)
Extensive knowledge in Accounting and Finance system management & processes
Ability to operate in a program management environment including business requirements analysis, requirements documentation, business case development, gap analysis, new process documentation, etc.).
Knowledge and experience in data and meta data governance.
General knowledge and experience developing, managing and utilizing Essbase cubes.
Ability to work independently and also in a team- oriented environment
Self-motivated and proven record of executing deliverables effectively
Ability and desire to coach team members and business partners on solution utilization
Superior communication skills and ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the company with a focus on senior management
Strong experience in database query functionality in Microsoft PowerPivot, Microsoft Access, Business Objects, or other reporting tools
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Strong advanced analytical and problem- solving skills
Strong process improvement skills
