Director of Laboratory Services (On-Site) – Tarrytown, NY

Position Overview

We are actively seeking a Director of Laboratory Services to lead a three-person team in the relocation of multiple enterprise-scale pharmaceutical labs to a new campus in Tarrytown, NY. This role requires strategic leadership, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex projects with precision.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary liaison between the client’s project team and key departmental representatives

Provide leadership and guidance to a team of three direct reports

Oversee project plans, schedules, and ensure timely adjustments as needed

Ensure strict adherence to both client standards and Hoffman’s proven methodologies

Manage multiple relocation projects simultaneously, effectively prioritizing tasks

Provide expert support before, during, and after each laboratory relocation

Proactively identify risks, troubleshoot challenges, and implement effective solutions

Drive successful project completion with a commitment to excellence

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in laboratory operations and large-scale laboratory relocations

Strong ability to interpret blueprints and a understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) .

Proven track record of managing client relationships with professionalism and approachability

Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring 100% accuracy in every relocation project

Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a determination to resolve issues efficiently

Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and meet demanding deadlines
