We are looking to add a Technical Service Engineer to our Fuel Specialty Petrochemical team in the US. This position will require up to 75% travel in the US, Canada, & Latin America. This position is located in or around the Houston area.
Essential Functions:
Supporting technical service projects and providing data to support the business in a timely fashion
Responsibility for site surveys and audits from a storage, dosing and application best practice perspective as well as a product stewardship viewpoint
Participating in engineering aspects as appropriate (design philosophy, production of technical enquiries and Engineering drawings in AutoCAD, supplier identification and the review of their proposals, submission of Technical and Commercial proposals to Innospec’s end users and the subsequent project management)
Installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of additive injection systems
Responsibility for spare parts, equipment and organizing equipment schedules including production of shipping documentation
Providing engineering support to our sales team and their customers with day-to-day engineering related queries
Processing trial data and providing key input into trial reports
Responsibility for performing work under local standards and carry our risk assessments as appropriate
Undertaking field emissions and additive performance testing according to standard methods
Where appropriate, run local material compatibility assessment test in the laboratory as per Innospec standards
Work with the Engineering team in EMEA to ensure data and knowledge is shared and a close team spirit is formed
Create relationships with dosing system suppliers across the region to enable optimal support and financial benefits to Innospec and their customers
Role Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering field preferable chemical engineering
Good writing skills and demonstrate an ability to develop good communication skills; oral and presentational
Good interpersonal skills
50-75% travel required
2-3 years' experience in Petrochemicals is required
US Passport is required
