EHS Manager [KC-14282]

San Jose, CA

$140,000 - $180,000 plus 15% bonus, RSUs, benefits package

A global, industry-leading semiconductor company is seeking an EHS Manager, to lead the EHS programs and provide strong EHS leadership, to their flagship R&D and manufacturing campus in the San Jose, CA area. The role:

Support the campus leadership, providing direction to help achieve EHS goals and objectives

Provide leadership to all EHS programs for the campus, developing best practices and identifying areas for improvement, around all areas of employee safety and well-being, industrial hygiene and occupational health, emergency response planning, and environmental compliance

Develop improved EHS processes and programs for engineering, laboratory and cleanroom operations: this includes laser safety, radiation safety, high-voltage electrical safety, and chemical hygiene

Ensure that the facility maintains its ISO 14001 and 45001 certifications

Leads, manages and mentors a team of three EHS Engineers, as direct reports, as well as other resources (e.g. external EHS consultants and suppliers) as necessary

The candidate:

Bachelor's degree is required in a relevant field of study (e.g. safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental sciences, or engineering)

Certifications such as CIH and/or CSP would be highly desirable

10+ years of hands-on, relevant EHS experience within environments/industries such as cleanrooms, engineering/research labs, life sciences, semiconductors, pharma/biotech, medical devices, etc.

3+ years of experience leading teams of direct reports

Knowledge and experience with ISO 14001 and 45001 would be highly desirable

Extensive knowledge and experience of CalOSHA regulations, as well as environmental regulations that are specific to the state of California
