Position Title: Director of Patient Relations & Events
Classification: Full Time (40 hours/week)
Reports to: Vice President of Finance and Business Operations
Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree
- Preferably in Social Work, Child Life, or related field
· Must be proficient in or willing and able to learn Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and inventory procedures
· Detail oriented and ability to multitask
· Have a positive attitude that ensures that all who visit, support, or engage with Dragonfly know they are appreciated, welcomed, and cared about.
· Able to work well with children and families
· Maintain ethical boundaries with patients and families
· Be able to work with and for a variety of people from all walks of life without discriminating against people based on race, creed, religious affiliation, or sexual orientation.
· Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
· Must be willing to submit to a background check, sign a confidentiality agreement
· Understanding of the confidential nature of the information available to the position.
· Be willing to work from Farmer Family Dragonfly Center.
· Excellent interpersonal, listening, and written communication skills.
Job Responsibilities
· Patient Events
- Coordinate all ticket donations
- Submit in-kind donations to accounting
- Enter events into Salesforce
- Manage event ticket distribution
- Evaluate family requests to participate in events
- Assist families with patient event portal
- Plan and execute various events for Dragonfly families both at The Landing, Farmer Family Dragonfly Center, and off-site locations
- Work with Director of Programs on larger events and projects such as Summer Bash, Holiday Party, and Adopt a Family
- Manage Dragonfly suite at Heritage Bank Center
- Coordinate volunteers for patient & family events
· Inventory Management
- Manage Dragonfly’s inventory system for patient and hospital gifting
- Enter new donations into inventory and ensure the database is up to date
- Complete year end process of inventory in June of each year along with VP of Finance and Business Operations
· Hospital Support
- Assist Director of Programs with hospital support requests as needed, including:
- Delivering needed supplies to the hospital
- Responding to specific requests from hospital staff in a timely manner
· Communication
- Responding to specific requests from hospital staff in a timely manner
- Assist with regular survey to gather feedback from families served
- Assist with information to be included in family newsletters
· Fundraising Events
- Assist Director of Events choose a Dragonfly family representative for fundraising events
- Assist VP of Development with Year End Appeal letter including:
- Choosing a Dragonfly family to write year end appeal letter
- Reviewing year end appeal letter for corrections
- Assist VP of Development with Annual Report for the patient and family articles
- Assist Director of Marketing and Communications by providing updates to patient and family information on the website
