A client in Chandler, AZ is looking to bring on a Sr. test engineer to join their team. This will be a permanent position, working on a Monday-Friday 8-5pm schedule. The pay range is starting at $125K/yr+ based on years of experience. They will be working alongside the software, hardware, and system engineering teams. Their main responsibility is to verify and validate testing of engineering designs. Throughout their role, they will be developing test plans and procedures while performing validation testing on satellite communication systems, equipment, and software.
Additional responsibilities include:
Testing advanced product features and test methods following RF and waveform testing and Digital Intermediate Frequency Interoperability (DIFI)
Supports Integration and Test, Design Verification, First Article and Production test.
Ability to create, interpret, modify programming source code in multiple languages such as Python, C and Java for automated test software.
Ability to troubleshoot moderate to complex satellite communication equipment and software
Monitoring, tracking, and reporting performance and defects of the product
Report, track, and monitor product performance, capabilities, and defects
Writes technical reports and develops charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate system's operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations.
Developing verification test procedures using hardware, system, and software level requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
10+ years of experience with network and lab equipment and software such as AWGN Noise Sources, Oscilloscopes, Protocol analyzers, Ethernet Managed Switches, Wireshark
6+ years of experience in programming such as C/C++, Java, Python
Experience automating test equipment over remote GPIB, Ethernet, and SNMP
Experience testing to MIL-STD-188-165B (and -165A) standard
Experience with Digital Intermediate Frequency Interoperability (DIFI) or DIFI IEEE-ISTO STD 4900-2021
