SUMMARY
Paragon Professional Services, LLC (Paragon), a wholly owned subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is seeking an experienced level environmental professional based in Anchorage, Alaska to support a wide range of environmental projects in Alaska, California, Washington, Oregon and North Carolina. The qualified candidate should be motivated and hardworking and experienced dealing with the many aspects of contaminated sites involving contaminated soil, groundwater, sediment and surface water. Primary duties will include providing data analysis, research, and technical consultation; supporting proposal preparation; preparing planning documents; supporting and leading field activities; and preparing reports.

Manage and support the preparation of environmental documents
Support overall project management tasks as assigned by the other members of the project teams
Update/prepare work plans
Update/prepare reports
Collect and analyze data
Manage and implement field programs
Support the program manager in preparation and implementation of client and stakeholder meetings

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Strong written and oral communication skills
40 Hour HAZWOPER
Willingness, desire, and ability to adapt to a changing regulatory climate
Ability to travel between 7-21 days per month
Qualified Environmental Professional: Professional Registration completed or in progress
Minimum eight (8) to twelve (12) years of experience in environmental investigation and remediation activities including environmental sample collection and management and reporting
Experience working with Federal and state agencies and local stakeholders on environmental projects
Familiarity with technical data analysis and contamination delineation techniques
Experience installing, developing, sampling, and decommissioning monitoring wells
Experience with Federal, utility or private sector clients
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Microsoft® Office Suite
Working knowledge of Federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and guidance
Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy, and strong attention to detail
Ability to manage and perform simultaneous or subsequent cleanup activities at multiple remote Alaska locations throughout the year
Ability to find solutions to the unique logistical and environmental challenges facing Alaska-based projects
Experience investigating and remediating petroleum spills
Ability to perform quality control functions during site work
Ability to prepare risk assessment tables from environmental data sets.
Preferred
Environmental proposal development experience
Experience participating in all phases of an environmental project
GIS Experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required. Occasional field work may be required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have have driver’s license and reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
